National Security Australia?

Where does Australia stand when it comes to protecting our freedom, prosperity and security that Australia as a nation has enjoyed? Australia is one of the blessed country with wealth and prosperity with democratic government and lifestyle better than many countries in the world. But, when it comes to security what can we say about this island, continent nation of Australia?
What will Australia do if we came under terrorist attacks? Are we prepared, what is the next step in case of terror attack? How well informed are our intelligence agency, national security agencies and anti-terrorist task force? How quickly can we respond? How will our daily life function if we faced terrorist attack? When was the last time Australia as a nation has memory of war, rumours of war and terror in Australian soil? It was long time ago, it was during the World War II, when the Japanese was advancing their campaign in the Pacific and even managed to sneak into Sydney Harbour with one manned submarine, blackout at nights became part of our daily life, life was not certain even for the school kids.
Today, most of the Australian has no memory or knowledge of war and terror except you are in the defence force. But, today the war we face is different from the ones we faced during World War II, and then we knew who our enemy was. But, today we are fighting invisible enemy, who could be living in our community, next door to us, catching the same bus or train, working in the same office, eating beside us in a food court or even flying on the same flight sharing a seat with us.
So, what are we to do, how are we to identify our invisible enemy? The rule is simple, apply the same rules, and enforce the same law the Australian law and execute the same judgment to every male and female who steps and walks in Australian soil despite of the person’s personal, family, cultural, religious or political views. This is national security; this is the identity of Australia. Australians doesn’t need to be afraid of Australian, but from those who imitates to be Australian.
