Hung Parliament Explained: Solution

TheAustrailanPost.com --- Hung Parliament headache of Australia!
Hung Parliament explained: Labor losing its legitimacy to govern the nation effectively. This is what happens when the government is incompetent to run the country. Everything is so confusing: Within their own government and party about the leadership, policies, direction, vision. They are confused themselves and confusing the people and the nation.
Another reason for hung parliament: Not to mention another confusing Australian voting system of preference voting system. Coalition won more than half a million votes across the nation than the Labor Party which could have given Coalition win on more seats if we had simple majority voting system, just vote or tick the one and only party you want to vote for. This present preference voting system has delivered us undemocratic and stupid results. What do we have? Hung Parliament and we see the government is controlled not by the majority but by minorities. Next thing we see our country run by the minorities and not by the majority party who received the highest number of votes from the people.
Problem is there but what is the solution? It is simple Australia should wake up and give the real democracy, that we keep talking about its rightful place, let the party that gained the majority of Australian votes form democratic government and say death to the preference voting system and abolish it for once and for all. Else it is not a democracy at all but anti democracy for party with highest majority votes not being able to govern the country.

Hung Parliament: Australia’s headache

TheAustralianPost.com --- Hung Parliament Election 2010!

Australians woke up with buzz in the ears from radio, television, internet and newspapers the word: Hung Parliament. To some this was a new word, hearing it for the first time. Some have heard it once few months ago during the UK election. And for some voters who knew about the hung parliaments was not what they have voted for. But for Tony Abbott and Julia Gillard hung parliament is another leadership campaign, the campaign of campaign.
Abbot and Gillard camp cannot form the government without the support of independent MPs. So for Abbot and Gillard to win the support of independent and minority MPs to form their government is like campaigning to win another Federal Election 2010 version 2.0 or campaigning two-election campaign (2010 and 2014) within a week. This could be more challenging than their first federal election campaign, which resulted on hung parliament when the nation went to cast their votes on Saturday the 21st of August 2010.
But the worst is for the general Australian public themselves. Hung parliament means rule of the minority government, the government that they did not vote for. Weak government which also means weak policies and compromises, weak economy, employment, rate increase and many more to follow for at least three future years of Australia which are ahead of us. Unless miracle happens!

Australian newspapers had their voice and support for the Coalition and the Labor. Even the newspapers were divided on the eve of the election 2010.
The Australian, The Daily Telegraph, Herald Sun and The Courier-Mail supported Opposition Leader Tony Abbott. Whereas Adelaide’s Advertiser, Hobart’s Mercury, The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age says to give Labor under Julia Gillard a second chance.
The Courier-Mail, the major paper in Queensland said Mr Abbott emerged as unexpected leader of the Liberals and has shown he can grow with responsibility and also added that the nation could move forward only with the coalition.
The Australian also said, ‘It comes down to a question of trust in a contest between a leader and Abbott has learned his trade under Mr Howard and one who served under Mr Rudd.’ On that basis, The Australian endorsed Mr Abbott.
Daily Telegraph editor Garry Linnell, says of Ms Gillard’s performance, pointing to the axing of Mr Rudd and failures of the Building the Education Revolution and the insulation schemes. He also agrees that the opposition had not offered a great deal of vision, “but at least we have an instinctive knowledge for what Abbott represents”.

Melbourne Citizens comments on Julia Gillard’s sin in chopping Kevin Rudd accusing him of being incompetent and excusing herself to grab the top job and destroying democracy by ousting publicly elected Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd. And also for her far left wing socialist view with very left wing agenda and saying everything that everyone wants to hear for now with her hope in only to win the election.

Australia is a Sovereign Nation; It should make its own decision in national matters and Leave the UN out

TheAustralianPost.com --- But I Still Call Australia Home!
Australia is a sovereign nation, well able to make its own decisions and run the country with own people, education, government, currency, business, industries, banks and laws. Australia should make its own decision in all matters and more firmly on refugee and boat people. Temporary protection visas will be great idea for those who are seeking refugee and fleeing their country from war and civil unrest, which may have caused difficulties and risk to their lives. Once the danger passes and disappears in their home country they should be returned to their own country.
People who travel from one country to another are not a true refugees as they travel through different countries or live in a country outside their country of origin for a while or even longer period of time looking and searching for a way to enter Australia illegally in the hope of receiving permanent residency after reaching Australia. They had enough money to travel from their home country to the countries where they search and come in contact with illegal people transporters (illegal business empire) and pay certain amount of money for illegal pass to enter Australia. These people are not refugees; they should be deported and returned to their own country without any questions or delay. Else there will be boat people floating on every side of Australian waters just to enter Australia. Once, these rich refugees, the counterfeit refugees enter Australia they will be feasting on Australian hospitality and benefits from Medicare, centre link, driving posh cars and enjoying expensive products.
Australia should process every claim to identify the genuine and counterfeit refugees, or so called wannabe refugees for the sake of receiving permanent residency in Australia. Australian immigration and authority should check the history of the applicant who claims to be refugee, as where and when he or she was and went before coming to Australia to claim the refugee status.
No documents mean blank personal history of the person, which means no trace of the person’s identity, which means possible threat to Australia. Every new immigrant entering Australia through government skill migrant scheme goes through compulsory police report check, they need to provide their recent ten years of police record history to make sure they were not involved in any terrorist activities, criminal activities or any sort of activities that could be a threat to Australia and its national interest. So, why exclude boat people? There should not be two different rules for people entering Australia.
UN should stop being hypocrites and not just take deep interest in Australia but overlook China, Iran, North Korea and many other countries. Australia welcomes everyone from around the globe, but there is a way to enter Australia.
What will the Labor do? What will the Liberal and the National do? Who is up to the task when it comes to border security, national security and the national interests of Australia?

Today we were advised of the tragic death of our son, brother and mate while he was serving in Afghanistan.
Jason was a career soldier who dreamed from a young age of being nothing else. Everyone who knew him knew his dream. He strived to be the best he could be at his job and was successfully accepted into the elite Special Air Service Regiment.
He was born to be a soldier, and believed in what he was doing. He died doing what he loved. We are all very proud of him.
We will miss him dearly, as will his army mates, who were his second family.
We ask at this time you respect our privacy and allow us our space to grieve the loss of an exceptional soldier, mate, brother, son and most of all Australian.

The man who is believed to be a businessman not happy with Labor government policies relating to wages was in the nearby cafe close to the ABC studio entrance before he threw the egg at the Prime Minister.
The man avoided the jail but was fined $1200 for throwing the egg at Julia Gillard with $119 court costs and $23 for dry cleaning costs for female officer’s uniform.  One person made an online comment about him that, “he should be given a medal” for it, while another said he should be jailed “FOR MISSING.”
