There are questions about Labor’s commitment to Australia’s national security as ABC News 24 political editor Chris uhlmann revealed the former Prime Minister Kevin Rudd used to send his 31-year-old chief of staff Alister Jordan to stand for him in his place during high-level security meetings of the National Security Committee of Cabinet.
Sometimes Mr Rudd was late or kept the committee waiting and other times he did not attend at all. Mr Rudd the Labor leader had shown disregard for the national security committee while Julia Gillard was wondering about the national security issues as his deputy Prime Minister.
The National Security Committee of Cabinet attended by senior government officials like Australian Defence Force Chief, Australian Federal Police Commissioner, Head of the Australian Domestic Spy Agency ASIO, who are entrusted with protecting Australia’s national security; including the Australian troops overseas like the war in Afghanistan. Disregarding national security meetings with senior government officials is a serious failure and heavy blow to Australia’s National Security.
Julia Gillard the deputy Prime Minister during the Rudd Government and was one with Mr Rudd in every decision Rudd made with small voice me too at the background until she became the accidental Prime Minister with the help of union.
Now she is accusing and pointing finger at Rudd for the wrongs and excusing herself and the big fat failures of Labor. Gillard needs to be honest and confess ‘me too’ about Kevin Rudd ‘s action and decision instead of accusing, isolating and throwing him to the wolf. Who will Julia and the Labor blame next, about Australia’s National Security Issues, mismanagement of the economic and the country?
