Australian sailors have stopped a pirate attack on British tanker in the Arabian Sea

The guided-missile frigate HMAS Melbourne steamed to the aid of the UK-flagged tanker after it was boarded by pirates on Monday night Australian time. Australian Navy was more than 260km away when alerted to the incident but was able to cover the distance in just over six hours.
While Australian Navy ship was heading to aid the chemical tanker, helicopter was sent ahead to aid and deter the pirates from attempting to take control of the ship. The tanker’s crew had locked themselves in a stronghold from where they could maintain control of the ship, remain in satellite communications with outside world and the navy after the pirates boarded the ship and wait for the navy support to arrive.
Helicopter supported was helpful, forcing the pirates to flee the ship on the arrival of HMAS Melbourne at the scene. But, after all this long sailing Australian Navy could have followed the pirates either to capture or destroyed them and send them out of business which could at least make one less pirate group in the region and saving the navy another hundred kilometres sail just to scare the pirate in the near future.

Mr Roberts was given a day to leave Fiji. Photo: Fiji Sun

Australia’s acting High Commissioner to Fiji, Sarah Roberts was expelled from Fiji by Fiji’s self-appointed Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama over a diplomatic row. Ms Roberts was given 36 hours to leave the country.
Commodore Bainimarama who seized power in 2006 a peaceful coup without firing at anyone and later appointed himself as the Prime Minister of the Island nation of Fiji said Mr Robert’s expulsion was a direct result of Australia “interfering with the internal affairs of Fiji and conducting unfriendly acts.”
Mr Roberts is the second Australian diplomat to be expelled and thrown out of Fiji within nine months as the Australia and Fiji is in bitter diplomatic row over the democracy in Fiji. Commodore Bainimarama said Australia “don’t live in Fiji and they don’t know what’s happening in Fiji” and he also said, “Ms Roberts has no place in Fiji.”

Fijian PM Frank Bainimarama
Australian Labor government should first look at themselves and their own action before pointing finger to Fiji’s internal affairs. Kevin Rudd was elected democratically by the people of Australia as the Prime Minister of Australia for the first term in the office as the Prime Minister of Australia. Labor threw him out for their own selfish interest to win the election, to be in the government, it was solely in the interest of union and the Labor party and not Australia. Now, why is it ok with Labor to remove democratically elected Prime Minister, but points its finger to Fiji and Frank Bainimarama?
He that hath not sinned should cast the first stone or else Labor Government should stop playing the hypocrite.

Kevin Rudd looks confused, sad, lonely and forsaken on the backbench during Question Time today in the House of Representatives. Picture: Ray Strange

Previous Prime Minister Kevin Rudd of 2007, despite of three stage humiliation, from Julia Gillard and the band of Labor party he is still eyeing the post of foreign minister. Mr Rudd’s humiliation came step by step but it was the quick one. First he was ousted from Australia’s number one job, the Prime Minister of Australia. Secondly, automatically qualified for the backbench, where he sat by himself looking sad, alone, lonely and forsaken pondering upon the previous day; last day as the 26th Prime Minister of Australia and of course followed by unwilling farewell from the Official lodge in Canberra. Thirdly, not able to even win a place in Julia Gillard’s Ministry. Mr Rudd was completely isolated and forsaken by Gillard and the union band, just like Ball’s Pyramid in the Pacific Ocean which is lifeless and away from mainland Australia.
Now, Mr Rudd heads for United States to attend the annual US-Australian dialogue. Mr Rudd is the founding member of the dialogue and has attended every meeting for the past 17 years. During his time in New York and DC, Mr Rudd will be speaking on national security. Mr Rudd has no plan to retire from the politics yet, but to be active in politics and even more he wants to serve as a minister in Gillard’s government and he is keen in grabbing a place in foreign affairs (external affairs).
But his former deputy and accidental 27th Prime Minister Gillard said he needs to wait until the next election victory. I cant picture how much he will be wasting tax payers money by flying out of Australia every week or twice a week, if he actually becomes foreign minister, let alone how salty he will be and the relationship disaster he will create on behalf of Australia with foreign states. He could create friendly nations to unfriendly, friendly-foe nations to foe and foe-nations to completely foe. During his week visit to United States he will be accompanied by his millionaire wife, Therese Rein.

The Israeli ambassador Yuval Rotem arrived back in Canberra from Israel to deal with the surprise expulsion of a Mossad chief from Canberra. He was in action as soon as he landed in Canberra talking in his mobile phone and arranging high-level meetings at parliament with both the Federal Government and the Coalition. This is the worst diplomatic crisis to hit Australian and Israeli relations.
Mr Rotem was absent from Australia, he was in Israel to discuss a chief-of-staff role in Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office when Australia announced the expulsion. Israeli Embassy spokesman Dor Shapira said the meetings were being held with politicians from ”all sides” on the present crisis of expulsion. Later after lunch Mr Rotem met with Julie Bishop the deputy opposition leader and the one who is against the Labour Government’s decision to expel Israeli diplomats without any hard evidence.

Just a sample made by myself to show forgery is everything except real

According to the office of the opposition foreign affairs, Australia has also forged passport for use in overseas missions. The Opposition has criticised the action of Federal Government to expel Israeli diplomats and Embassy from Canberra in the accusation of Israeli authorities used fake Australian passport to organise the hit of senior Hamas operative Mahmoud al-Mabhouh in Dubai early this in January 2010.
Ms Bishop said Israel was not only the country who fabricated passports. When asked if Australia has also used forged passport, her reply was “Yes” . The step taken by the present government to expel Israeli diplomats has been criticised by the Coalition saying government was overreacting. Ms Bishop said if the coalition was in the government she would have rebuked any nation that forged Australian passport provided there was solid evidence and would asked them not to repeat it again.
Many countries, organisations and individuals are forging passports, but the only difference is some are caught and others are not. Australia is facing the issue of relationship between two countries. Labour Government should consider the long term international relationship between Israel and Australia and the result of the move taken to expel Israeli diplomats without solid hard evidence of Israel’s involvement in the assassination of Hamas operative in Dubai.
International relations are hard and take long time to build but it is always quick and easy to destroy. Specially when expelling diplomats of another country. Relationship between two countries is not keeping it when you want and break it when you don’t want it. The wise diplomats, politicians, leaders and statesmen thinks repeatedly and thinks beyond their election and their office and will not treat the diplomats of another country specially the friendly nations like dirty clothes and put them into the washing machine to tumble and face critics in international communities and later still expect clean and green friendship with all good kind of relationship between their governments.
Isn’t there anyone in the Government who can think, direct and lead Australia with its national interest in heart amongst the international community into victory? Wow, maybe position vacant? Australia needs a leader who can lead, not a puppet leaders who bends which ever side the news and media bends.
Labour Government should reconsider their decision in expelling Israeli diplomats and the Israeli Embassy from Canberra. If Labour Government goes ahead with the expelling of the Israeli diplomats then they are not trying to face and tackle the problem but running away from the real problem of forged Australian passports. What the Government needs to do is focus on rooting out the problem of forging Australian passports rather than rooting out Israeli diplomats. Israeli may be expelled from Australia, but there will be someone again forging Australian passports.
Decision by the Labour Government shows Australia as a nation to be week when it comes to making decision and implementing judgment for the good of our own nation’s future and direction we want to move in the international community.

Stephen Smith, the Foreign Minister of Australia told the parliament that Israel was responsible faking four Australian Passport and killing senior member of Hamas operative in Dubai early this year in January 2010. He asked Israeli diplomats and Israeli Embassy in Canberra be withdrawn from Australia within the week.
Mr Smith said it was a breach of trust and confidence by the Israeli authorities. “These are not the actions of a friend,” he said. “This is not what we expect from a nation with whom we have had such a close, friendly and supportive relationship.” Is Mr. Smith on behalf of Labour Government honestly speaking about trust and mutual friendship between Israel and Australia or is it just a sneaky politics to divert the eyes of Australian public from the real issues and problems Australia is facing because of incompetent Labour Government who is not ready nor equip to face the coming Federal Election.
If Mr. Smith talks about breach of trust between Australia and Israel and is expelling Israeli Diplomats and Israeli Embassy from Canberra. Is he also considering withdrawing of Australian Embassy from Israel? If the Labour Government cannot trust Israel then why keep the Embassy in Israel? You cannot tell someone don’t come to your home but you yourself go to theirs where you move, live and walk around with ease.
Israel have neither accepted nor rejected the responsibility. So, who knows Israel was behind it or not? So many organisations and individuals are using fake passport breaching trust everyday. Who knows how many fake Australian passports are floating around the world? Is this an excuse for Labour Government to keep breathing until the next Federal Election with their eyes on the government seats for another term when they were already fading away from the moment they came to power with Kevin Rudd as their leader?
What is the real problem behind fake Australian passport? Who is to be blamed Israeli or the Australian Government? This time government is pointing finger at Israeli authorities for fake Australian passport. Who will they blame for the next problem? What is the real problem? Israeli authorities, fake Australian passport or incompetent on Government’s side to tackle the problem. Increasing Australian Intelligence budget, human resource, power and their presence both home and abroad is a good start.
Expelling Israeli diplomats will it solve the problem? If Israel is after faking Australian passport they don’t have to be in Australia to do so. What will Mr. Smith and the Labour Government do if American brethren fakes Australian passport? Will he cry foul the way he is doing with Israel or will the Labour Government will go on vacation with the answer machine on: Labour unavailable for comment or no comment status? If Mr. Smith and Labour Government starts expelling diplomats and Embassies with 50/50 maybe involved claim and accusation Australia might not have any foreign office or relations.
