There has been a report of looters in the damaged caravan park. Young people wandering through and around the damaged caravan park were being questioned and ordered to keep out of the damaged area.
A mother and daughter were taken to the hospital after being hit by flying object. State Premier said SES workers have the situation under control. Police have closed the town due to the fallen trees and broken power lines. There is not much of vehicle or ambulance’s movement due to downed powerlines. A command post has been established at Lennox Point Hotel as an evacuation centre. Residents have been advised to stay in their homes.
