Malaysian woman arrested with 130 heroin pellets at Sydney Airport
27-year-old Malaysian woman has been arrested with about 130 heroin pellets found in her intestines. The woman who arrived at Sydney International Airport on a flight from Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday morning was stopped by the Customs and Border Protection officers for questioning after they became suspicious that she may have been concealing drugs within her body.
Australian Federal Police was contacted and the woman was taken to the hospital for examination where scan showed about 130 pellets inside her body. AFP has also arrested a 25-year-old Nigerian man in Kings Cross in connection to the incident.
After the arrest police made a search of his home and found small amount of white powder and scales. This man has been charged with an attempt to possess bordered controlled drug, which carries 25 years imprisonment and $AUD 555,000 fine. He was ordered to appear at Sydney Central Local court.
