Liberal Senator Cory Bernardi Calls for burqa ban

South Australian Liberal Senator Cory Bernardi has called for Australia to ban burqa calling it as “the most public symbol of fundamentalist Islam.” In the internet blog Liberal Senator from South Australia said there were supporters of fundamentalist Islam who wanted to impose sharai or Islamic law in Australia.
South Australian Senator Bernardi also said, “It is time we learned from the experience of the French, Belgians, Dutch, Swiss and the British. We need to stop the expansion of fundamentalist Islam in Australia lest we lose the foundation, the essence and the very culture of our great nation.”
