Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) Website Crashed

Australians wanting to have their say in 2010 federal election, tens and thousands of Australian began to enrol to the electoral roll from Saturday. Due to massive flow of online traffic in a rush to join the roll before tonight’s 8pm deadline the Australia Electoral Commission (AEC) website crashed and the site was down for almost an hour.
Tens and thousands of Australians had been added to the roll after the 2010 federal election date was announced on Saturday as 21st of August next month. Anyone desiring to update their details has until 8pm (AEST) Thursday.
