Leon Wescombe before he went missing
29 year-old Australian kayaker Leon Wescombe is feared to be dead as he has disappeared while kayaking through the swollen rapids in the United States. Mr Wsecombe was last seen when his kayak overturned in Cosumnes River in El Dorado County in the US state of California.
The 29 year-old man from Hobart, Tasmania was amongst the group of experienced kayakers before he went missing. Mr Wescombe had updated his Facebook page on the 1st of June 2010 which it read: “Other side of the world tomorrow.”
